How family therapy can help children and young people with emotional difficulties
What is family Therapy?
Most families experience serious difficulties sometimes. If it feels like family relationships are suffering, if you’re no longer sure what to do for the best or family members seem stuck in repeating patterns of unsafe or unhelpful behaviour, Family Therapy may help.
Family Therapy is used within CAMHS (child and adolescent mental health services) and helps families to navigate the uncertainties about possible mental health and relationship difficulties to support young people. It is also used within adult and social care services to help families work together and maintain safety and understanding.
If you would like to discuss whether family therapy might be something your family needs, please contact us or book a free fifteen minute consultation with Maureen Greaves Consultant Family & Systemic Psychotherapist
